Yesterday I went to a drs appt which was pretty painless, and then off to take some shoes back to the store. They were cute but I hadn't worn them at all and thought I probably wouldn't so decided to get something else instead. And then found all sorts of cute summer things and birthday presents for Livy. She'll be 6 in september. Emily's 9th birthday is tomorrow. She wants to get her ears pierced sometime soon.
Anyway, I bought a cute pair of shorts last week, washed them and the button already came off. I guess I'll have to sew it back on. I'm just happy I can fit back in this size. Never thought I would. Then found some flip flops for Jonah for $1 and another pair of cars shoes so we'll have them for vacation. No matter how many shoes we have for the little kids they always get misplaced....and socks, pencils, you name it, there's a good chance it's going to get lost. I'm such an organized person but have had to give up some of that. It just doesn't work like it use to. When you have toddlers and babies, it seems like a constant state of survival mode. I won't know to do with myself in a couple of yrs when the kids get a little older. Will probably have PTSD from 16 yrs. of it--warning to future moms of many--jk) being a mom or dad to lots of kids will toughen you up, you can't be a complainer (well you can but it won't matter:) or overly selfish with too much time on your hands (so you have to come up with creative ways to make the time you do have count so we can all be happy); and another bonus is we don't have time or patience for petty issues that like to crop up occasionally, so it's all good).
Kenny wants to get another tattoo. I would never get one for myself but i think they look great on a man, especially when it's something good.
I got home sort of late last night. I had to make a couple more stops that I forgot about. We needed bread and then I saw some peaches....if I go in a grocery store, I usually come out with more than just one thing....always see something we need. The younger kids were in the little house (as opposed to the big house) watching IceAge. Someone Brandon worked for gave us a nice t.v. and we had an old VCR so that worked out good. We might go swimming today. It's a little cloudy and I'm tired, but we'll see what we can do. I told Brandon the chlorine would be good for his poison oak. He really got nailed with itchy skin stuff over the last week or so. He and Ben both got stung on the same ear on the same day at different locations....what's the odds of that happening? It's raining now. Wonder if it's gonna stop so we can go swimming. Savannah's messing in the dishwasher grabbing the plates. When she's in her walker she makes her rounds around the house leaving a path of destruction wherever she goes. You'd never think someone so tiny could get into so much--lol.
