beach day

Wed., 9.28~~Ben found a starfish. He and his friends are collecting sea creatures and watching them and then letting them go. They're using their nets to collect minnows out of the tide pools. Brandon found them a big crab to add to their bucket.

Kenny and Brandon played frisbee and threw the football a little bit while Savannah and I played in the sand. I threw it some yesterday with Bran, but I'm not as good with my aim as he is. It's fun watching them because they're good at frisbee throwing. I found lots of seashells. Audrey found some clams and watched them dig back into the sand. We stayed out late tonight swimming in the pools. The hot tub was nice too even though kids aren't allowed. Brandon and I got in for awhile while the rest of the kids were in the lazy river. He's not exactly a kid, well technically, he is, but he's old enough to get in the hot tub. It was perfect beach weather again. I think it's supposed to be like that for the weekend. Everybody's getting tan.
Ben and Laura went crab hunting with their friends again and had brownies afterwards. We ate very late because we were out late at the pools. We were having too much fun to come in.

Thurs. 9/29 Happy 6th Birthday Livy! We had a busy day out on the beach, in the ocean, and pools. We had spaghetti and pizza and kk donuts for Livy's b.d. She got a special sprinkled one with 6 candles. I bought birthday hats too. She liked her presents. We walked down the beach a good ways looking for shells. A lady asked me if it was hard having a baby at the beach. Well, not always hard, not always easy, but we've been doing it for a long time, so you do what you have to do to make it work easy or not. Next year, we won't have baby gear for the first time in quite awhile. That'll be something new and different. We went out and did a little shopping tonight. Kenny bought lots of fudge after they all sampled some. The girls and Jonah rode the carousel. The kids are exhausted but in a good way. We're having fun!
