fun day at the beach

We're enjoying it here--the kids especially. The weather's good...it was beautiful today...a perfect day at the beach. It's low 80's and the ocean is nice and warm. Yesterday it was pretty rough though because of the wind. I had my eyes focusing on 7 different people for most of the afternoon, but I did manage to get some reading done when they were playing in the sand. Jonah loves the water this year. Two yrs. ago he wouldn't go in as much, because he was just a baby, but now he sits in and lets the waves hit him in the shallow part. Laura got sunburned today in spite of putting lots of sunscreen on. She was in the ocean a lot though so that might have had something to with it. Brandon, Ben, and Laura went with their friends crab hunting tonight while the rest of us picked up some take-out for dinner.

Savannah is fascinated with the sand. We took her playpen out with the beach umbrella over her while Kenny drew a sand picture. He's really good at drawing things and making sand sculptures (of course there's no time for really elaborate sand sculptures these days but he use to make them all the time.) We're busy, but having a great time. We really love it down here!I love being on the 16th floor.....it's a great view of everything. Jonah's tired, so off to put him to bed. The kids gets exhausted swimming and running around all day which means a good night's sleep for everyone. Kenny's been working a lot, making calls, pricing jobs, faxing stuff....so it's not all relaxation. He's always busy all the time with work no matter where we are.
