what's been going on

Savannah (14 mos. already!) hanging out with Harry (she loves to go in the pantry and play with cans or whatever...can be messy, but she's having fun doing it, not so much fun for us picking it up, but i guess we can last a few more months; December birthdays; Jonah absolutely adores his little sister and she adores him back--they disagree a little bit over toys but other than that get along pretty well. Savannah loves to watch Jonah doing whatever's he's doing and Jonah watches out for her and makes sure she's ok and everyone's treating her well....just like a good brother should do....he told me recently that he didn't like her when she first came but he does now....so that's a positive move in the right direction.

we had a big, fun gathering at our most recent birthday party. Daisy was enjoying attention from my brother.

Laura and Emily went ice skating with their cousins. What a nice, fun thing to be doing! I've tried, but could never do it--my ankles just wouldn't cooperate. Em, Audrey, and I went shopping and used some of the gift cards. We found some cute stuff--a little wooden carved bird was clearanced for $1 and Audrey wanted it because she loves them. When I have time, I should paint it. Kenny brought home the big SUV. We might be saying bye to the van. We think it's time to move on. Maybe a daycare center will buy it.

it's been cold outside! Finally feels like winter. Ben went hunting with his cousin and I think they were going to the stockyard too. He was excited and wanted to take the .22? (i guess that's the way it's said....i'm not sure his daddy let him. but he'll have a good time one way or the other). Ben loves outdoorsy stuff....well all the kids do....winter's harder to get them out though because of all the stuff you have to put on. i like summer better....finding gloves, hats for so many children is a good way to raise b/p. Even having them organized in neat little baskets doesn't help because unfortunately they don't stay that way long. usually we're missing a glove or a boot.....no different than the sock issue. but it's just a season that won't last long:) spring's only 2 months away. See ya.
