The big van's gone to a new home. A nice couple who show their 4 dogs in dog events. so it moved from being a large family van to a traveling kennel. this van will have had an interesting life. well....anyway, we love our new (not new, we always buy used, but new enough) big suv......good to find one that fits everyone. Bye big van. I remember when we first got our mini-van....let's see...when Brandon was 2 I think and we might have had Laura by then. But anyway, I remember hearing the jokes....you know...driving a mini-van. Then fast forward 8 yrs. later when we got the real big van. Glad we could provide entertainment for a select group of too-cool-for-us people. Things are a little quieter now though.
I had a dental procedure done yesterday. That was more weird sensation/pain than I remembered. it didn't help that he accidentally cranked whatever instrument he was using right into my lip. I was thinking as I was driving home, that maybe should have had someone with me, cause i didn't like the strange after-effects feeling. And a late-night throbbing tooth does not help sleep at all.
The weeks are getting busier with appts and kids going different directions. I'm thankful for people who care about our kids and spend time with them.
that little black kitty I mentioned hanging out from a few posts ago is still hanging around. He was cuddled up with Audrey (who would love to have him as a pet), lapping up the attention he was getting, and then he found his way into a bag of garbage outside. Well....he's just trying to survive. I wish people would stop dumping animals off on unsuspecting people who feel bad about them not eating. We do not need another cat, but i still feel sorry for a homeless one.
A lady was telling me yesterday that she had one kid, how did we handle 8? I've heard that quite a bit recently from people with one child. I'm not one to give advice about 1 or 8 so I don't know how to answer that (ask somebody with no kids who seem to know everything). i should follow up with this observation that I'm hearing right now....It sounds like an earthquake upstairs. Some of the kids are getting a little loud, running around like elephants. Daddy's handling it though. So I guess we deal with things as they come up just like anyone else does. Life ain't easy anywhere, is it? Well I guess some have it easier than others, but if you live long enough, it probably won't stay that way no matter how many kids you have.
what does breeder mean? what does ignorant breeder mean? doesn't sound too good as a description of someone...wonder why anyone would choose to label another person that way....seems to be pretty egotistical and arrogant, not to mention a little hurtful and a mean thing to say to any family with several children....hubby, the kids, and I thought so anyway. (just wondering...how many children born equals breeder according to the experts?)Ignorance could be viewed as judging someone else's life without knowing what you're talking about.

I've been looking for some cute shoes again. Glad to get out of winter stuff before too long. I can't wait to do a spring cleaning and it's gonna be a big one this year. Finally, after all these yrs. we move to a new stage. Imagine keeping things for each baby? Hard to believe we did it. But we did. And we have the scars to prove it. Not all scars are bad though....they represent a little bit of who you are and what you've been through in life....making a stronger, better person. However, some scars, not necessarily physical, are constant reminders of things we don't want to remember and impossible to remove.
Valentine's day is coming up. Not too much to do on this holiday. Maybe some cards and cookies for the kids..and a few little special gifts. Not so bad. I ordered the cutest little handmade bear off of Etsy. I might just save that for one of the kid's birthdays....Audrey's would be a good choice because I know she'd like it. Well....off to watch a crime show and catch up on some reading. Have a good night.
